Owen got a new cousin on May 25th. Click the photo below to see more photos of our visit with the new baby (he doesn't have a name yet) on my online album.

77 words!

My little chatterbox now says (at least) 77 words! And has full understanding of them all too! I am so proud.

2 new molars

Well now that Owen is feeling so much better he has let me look inside his mouth. He has two new molars. Now he has four molars in total. He had one with just the two sides poking through that is completely through now, and the other three just have the two sides poking through. He still has some teething pains, but is feeling soooooo much better.

We even got to go visit some friends today and Owen learned how to say "Ana" and "Sasha". Once we got home we played outside for a long time and Owen learned how to say "Yucky" (in regards to Papa's beer car ash tray - gross).

Thanks to everyone for your prayers and get well messages for my wee man during the roughest few days he has had in a long time. Hopefully it will be a while before we have to go through that again.

ear infection

Owen has an ear infection. Dr. LeGresley gave him a prescription of Apo-Cefachlor that he is supposed to take twice a day for a week and then he should be all better.

I put Owen down for a nap at 10:30 and he was up at 11:30 crying and soaking wet with sweat. His fever had broken. He was 98.6 then and 98.8 at 12:30. I think he is on the mend now. Pesky little teeth.

102.5

I made a doctors appointment for Owen today at 1pm. He still has a fever. It broke yesterday for a few hours (went down to 99 something), but it was over 101 when he went to bed although he seemed happy and in good spirits. Maybe it was because Grandma and Grandpa were here to play with him.

I got up at 6am this morning and took his temperature and it was 102.3 so I called in sick and decided to stay home and take Owen to the doctor. At 9am his temperature was 102.5 so I have him 1.5ml of Tylenol and called the BC Health Nurses line. They said it sounded like a virus or teething, but I should call the Dr. So I did and they want me to bring him in this afternoon. Since then he drank a full juice box (which is better than yesterday so far) and we watched Musical Baby and Nature Baby and then I put him down for a nap. Poor Owen, he is so lethargic. I know there is something wrong, but I hope it is just teething. He is never so out of it and cuddly. Mind you, I do like the cuddles.

Sick baby

Owen has had a temperature of 102 for 2 days now. I think he is getting more molars in as he doesn’t have diarrhea and isn’t puking. He is a super sucky baby today though and spent the last 2 hours on my lap with his sucker and blanket refusing to move. We watched Musical Baby and Nature Baby each twice and a Thomas the Train video once. He is now downstairs in his exersaucer (which he asked to go into) watching Nature Baby yet again. Thank God for these videos!

Sorry it's late... the actual "15 months old photo with the bear' is the top right hand one in the above collage.

My godparents

Uncle Matthew and Auntie Krista are my godparents, and they came out for a vist last wekeend and we all went to the Aitrport for breakfast (and pie). We had lots of fun watching the helicopter land and the planes drive around. And then we went back home and I got to make Auntie Krista laugh with my tricks and my fake laugh (my Mama loves my fake laugh). It was lots of fun. Thanks for coming to visit Uncle Matthew and Auntie Krista!

So much so quickly

I am losing track of all the new things Owen can do now. He had a hot dog last week and liked it. He can say at least 10 new words and phrases now. He talks all the time – it is so cute! He knows a lot more stuff, can figure out so much more, and understands just about everything we ask him, or tell him, to do.

He says "breakfast", "dinner", "sausage", "please", "puppy", and more often "hi puppy" (he puts ‘hi’ in front f a lot of things now too), he says "soap", "outside", "hockey stick", catch", "tractor", and "all done" (which he says when he is finished eating).

When reading, if you ask him where things are (animals, ball, apple, etc.) he knows where they are and will point to them.

Owen turned 15 months old last week, and for all of you waiting for his picture with the bear I promsie it is coming soon (I hope to take it today). Owen is now 27 pounds (or maybe even heavier), and he is so big he can't fit on his change table anymore (so his legs now stick off the end). I just gave Owen his 4th haircut and it makes him look even more grown up. He has his four front top and four front bottom teeth, plus one molar top and one on the bottom, with another one coming in now. And Owen is now wearing size 24 month pants and size 2 tops.

Bath time!

More Kelowna pictures

I was told that I didn't post enough Kelowna pictures (Auntie Vic), so here are some more...

This is Owen pumping some serious iron! He loved the mini trampoline but was terribly afraid of the Pilate's ball. He overcame his fears, however, and by the second day was loving the big ball too!

And here we are at the park near Grandpa's house. Owen loves park now - the swings, slides, and everything else!

And this is Owen and Papa just chillin' after a hard day of playing and relaxing (Mama did some major shopping and scored Owen 3 new pairs of shoes (one of them is in the picture above). Grandpa has a balcony on the front of his house and you can see the beautiful view from the swing on there. Owen liked looking at the little boy and his dog ("euff") next door.

And this was us saying our goodbyes when it was time to go home. We just caught the tail end of their football game and decided to kick the ball around with Owen until he got sidetracked by a puppy ("euff"). We will miss you Grandpa Kim, Uncle Dusty and Uncle Jesse! Thanks for having us over! See you soon!
