Grains, fruit, meat, and sometimes veggies too

I don’t know how much nutritional value Owen is getting from his breakfast, but he is sure getting a lot of practice feeding himself. Owens breakfast consists of: Cheerios, pieces of apples, a few cantaloupe slices, and half a turkey sausage.

Owen was up a lot last night. Gabe got up with him every time. I wonder if he was hungry because he didn’t eat a lot for dinner last night because he fed himself. Hmmm…. Maybe I should let him eat his own breakfast and snacks, but make sure he eats a good dinner. We want him to sleep through the night still!

I'm sorry to hear Owen is getting up in the night! Join the Club! You're so lucky that Gabe can get up with him, Richard works at 3:30am on weekends so he can't help out.

Someone was telling me about a book called "The Wonder Weeks" this book says that they are going through so many developmental changes right now that it's hard for them to rest because they want to practice their new skills.

Kaelen is practicing standing in her crib but doesn't know how to get down so this poses a problem for getting back to sleep as she is not a horse and can't sleep standing up :)

Owen did that for about a week - stand up at night and then need me to put him back down. But he soon learned how to put himself back down. So it doesn't last long - don;t worry.

I'm not sure if it's something you'd want to do but I never worry about Joshua's eating habits at dinner time because I know he'll eat his snack of fruit or cheese before bed and then he gets a bottle of Toddler formula (for children over 12 months). This way I know he's full and I can get a good night sleep! ;)

Jacob would wake up way more than he does now when he was starting to stand up and crawl so it wasn't due to his eating less. I have noticed that he is eating more right now so I wonder if either he is getting ready to finally venture out on his own in walking or his brain is going to explode out of his head

Keira is waking up a lot in the night at the moment...and has done for the past 4 or 5 weeks. No idea why. Tried everything! She's eating plenty, drinking plenty. Knows how to go down from standing. I just hope its her teeth and eventually she'll settle better once they come through. She is still a frequent mystery to me!
