Dentist visit
Then Owen woke up at 8am. We thought he would sleep more as he was up all night, but he woke up happy and wanted to get on with his day. So we got up and watched some cartoons. Owen drank my whole glass of grape juice, which was a large glass. I am so glad he is drinking lots!
Owen had a Dentist appointment today – his 2nd one. This one wasn;t as good as last time. Owen cried and didn’t like the chair. So he sat in my lap, and laid down with his head in the Dentists lap. The Dentist looked in Owens mouth 3 times and said that ll his 2-year molars seem to be coming in at once (the Doctor at the Hospiatl had told us that too).
Owens gums were bleeding way worse than yesterday and the Dentist said it was from me not cleaning them properly. What I need to do now is hold Owen down and properly clea his teeth and gums once a day every day. He said Owens gums might bleed while I do it for 2 weeks. But if they bleed for more than 3 weeks, than call him and come back because that is not good.
Owen also has skin growing between his two front teeth. If that doesn’t go away when he loses his abby teeth, the Dentist will have to cut that skin back. He said that is normal.
Owen didn’t have anything to eat all day, although he did have one more milk bottle before bed that night. He also had a 4 hour nap in th eafternoon.

starting to feel better
sick... ugh
Hopefully he will get better soon, but he seems to be gettign worse everyday. Lovely. We have a doctors appointment on Friday. How lovely is our medical system than when a child under 2 years old is this sick (and had a fever of 101 on Friday night) that the doctor books an appointment for him at the end of the week.

singing and playing
And later today, my girlfriend Jae and her boys, Jeremy and Adam, came over, and Owen crawled up the tree house all by himself. He smiled at me so big from the top – he was proud of him too!

"My new house"
This is Owen (yesterday) pushing his lawnmower... er, rather... he is mowing the lawn! My friend Pam gave Owen this lawnmower and he loves it!
And here is Owen this morning posing with his bear. Now that Owen has a whole room for his toys where he can play, he seems to have renewed interest in his old toys. But Gabe bought Owen a little battery operated quad yesterday, so I'll post pictures of Owens excursions on that soon (once we give it to him).
And here is Owen playing in a moving box. He made us keep some of the empty boxes around for him to play in.

2 new molars
We even got to go visit some friends today and Owen learned how to say "Ana" and "Sasha". Once we got home we played outside for a long time and Owen learned how to say "Yucky" (in regards to Papa's beer car ash tray - gross).
Thanks to everyone for your prayers and get well messages for my wee man during the roughest few days he has had in a long time. Hopefully it will be a while before we have to go through that again.
ear infection
I put Owen down for a nap at 10:30 and he was up at 11:30 crying and soaking wet with sweat. His fever had broken. He was 98.6 then and 98.8 at 12:30. I think he is on the mend now. Pesky little teeth.
102.5
I got up at 6am this morning and took his temperature and it was 102.3 so I called in sick and decided to stay home and take Owen to the doctor. At 9am his temperature was 102.5 so I have him 1.5ml of Tylenol and called the BC Health Nurses line. They said it sounded like a virus or teething, but I should call the Dr. So I did and they want me to bring him in this afternoon. Since then he drank a full juice box (which is better than yesterday so far) and we watched Musical Baby and Nature Baby and then I put him down for a nap. Poor Owen, he is so lethargic. I know there is something wrong, but I hope it is just teething. He is never so out of it and cuddly. Mind you, I do like the cuddles.

My godparents
So much so quickly
He says "breakfast", "dinner", "sausage", "please", "puppy", and more often "hi puppy" (he puts ‘hi’ in front f a lot of things now too), he says "soap", "outside", "hockey stick", catch", "tractor", and "all done" (which he says when he is finished eating).
When reading, if you ask him where things are (animals, ball, apple, etc.) he knows where they are and will point to them.
Owen turned 15 months old last week, and for all of you waiting for his picture with the bear I promsie it is coming soon (I hope to take it today). Owen is now 27 pounds (or maybe even heavier), and he is so big he can't fit on his change table anymore (so his legs now stick off the end). I just gave Owen his 4th haircut and it makes him look even more grown up. He has his four front top and four front bottom teeth, plus one molar top and one on the bottom, with another one coming in now. And Owen is now wearing size 24 month pants and size 2 tops.

More Kelowna pictures
And this is Owen and Papa just chillin' after a hard day of playing and relaxing (Mama did some major shopping and scored Owen 3 new pairs of shoes (one of them is in the picture above). Grandpa has a balcony on the front of his house and you can see the beautiful view from the swing on there. Owen liked looking at the little boy and his dog ("euff") next door.
And this was us saying our goodbyes when it was time to go home. We just caught the tail end of their football game and decided to kick the ball around with Owen until he got sidetracked by a puppy ("euff"). We will miss you Grandpa Kim, Uncle Dusty and Uncle Jesse! Thanks for having us over! See you soon!
